PATRIOT PLACE, HARVARD PILGRIM HEALTH CARE
ANNOUNCE CANCELLATION OF
2020 FINISH AT THE 50 ROAD RACES

Under guidelines from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and guidance from public health and safety officials, Patriot Place and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care have decided to cancel the 2020 Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 Road Races. The annual event was originally postponed from July 3 to the fall before organizers made the decision to cancel the 2020 date.

“In the best interest of the health and safety of our guests and employees and under guidelines from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50,” said Brian Earley, Vice President and General Manager of Patriot Place. “While we will not be able to host the event this year, we look forward to welcoming our runners back in the summer of 2021 to enjoy this great event.”

“Cancelling the 2020 Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 Road Race is clearly the action we needed to take to protect the health and safety of our runners, spectators and volunteers,” said Phil Tracey, Director of Public Relations for Harvard Pilgrim. “We look forward to the summer of 2021 when we can welcome runners back to Patriot Place for this great event.”

The safety and health of Patriot Place guests and staff and the cleanliness of the center remain the utmost priority. Patriot Place continues to work closely with public health and safety officials as Patriot Place restaurants and stores move through the reopening process. Patriot Place and Patriot Place venues have taken additional precautions to ensure the safety of all guests and employees, including limiting capacity for appropriate social distancing, requiring masks for all employees and deep-cleaning and sanitizing daily.

Additional details about the reopening process and each individual venue’s reopening plan and hours are available on Patriot-Place.com.
